Itinerary

Days 1-2 Jaipur

Jaipur, popularly known as the ‘Pink City’, is the capital of Rajasthan.

Discover the enchanting Hawa Mahal and travel to the old capital of Amber to see the hillside palace complex. In the evening visit Jaipur’s bustling bazaars.

Its attractions include Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, City Palace, and Jantar Mantar.

Days 3-4 Shekhawati

Shekhawati is laced with innumerable beautifully painted havelis making it an open Art Gallery of sorts. The region consists of several Thikanas (princely states) each having an amazing collection of havelis.

The more popular thikanas are Mandawa, Fatehpur, Mahansar, Ramgarh and Nawalgarh.

Days 5-6 Bikaner

Venture deep into the Thar Desert to the city of Bikaner, famous for its imposing palaces, beautiful sculptured temples of red and yellow sand stones, and hovels.

Its attractions include Junagarh Fort, Karni Mata Temple, Lalgarh Palace and Laxmi Nath Temple. See the holy rats of the Karni Mata temple and visit a nearby farm for an evening of Rajasthani food, music and dance.

Days 7-9 Jaisalmer

Travel through the desert to Jaisalmer which stands on a ridge of yellow sandstone, crowned by a fort, containing the palace and several ornate Jain temples.

It is sometimes called the “Golden City of India” because the yellow sand and the yellow sandstone used in every architecture of the city gives a yellowish-golden tinge to the city and its surrounding area.

Its attractions include the fort and the havelis (Patwon-ki-Haveli, Salam Singh-ki-Haveli, Nathmalji-ki-Haveli), Bada Bagh, Lodhruva, and Akal Wood Fossil Park.

Explore the markets hidden among the twisting alleys and take an overnight camel safari out into the dunes.

Day 10 Jodhpur

Jodhpur, the capital of the Marwar kingdom, is known for its palaces, forts and temples set in the stark landscape of the Thar desert.

Its attractions include Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant Thada, and Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower).

Days 11-13 Udaipur

Udaipur, also known as Venice of the East, is known for its history, culture, and Rajput-era palaces. A vision of splendor with white marble palaces and a sparkling lake, Udaipur is Rajasthan’s artistic heart.

Its attractions include City Palace, Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, Lake Pichola, Jagdish Temple, Sheliyon-ki-Bari and Bagore-ki-Haveli.
