Giriganga Resort, Khara Pathar
Giriganga Resort offers excellent views of the valley below. It is named after a sacred spot and source of the river Giri Ganga that lies 7 km from Kharapathar.
Hotel Akashdeep, Chandigarh
Our double-room was modestly-sized with a couple of chairs, an armoire, a color TV with cable, and a double-bed. The bathroom, though small, was functional with a hot water geyser.
Review : Hotel Palace Retreat (Arki, HP)
It is built into the fort and palace complex that is perched on a hillock. Part of it belongs to the original palace, while parts have been added on.
Rock Heaven, Mashobra
Rock Heaven is located right by the state highway that runs through the village of Mashobra on to Naldehra and beyond, the 4-storied structure clings to the cliff-side with the reception facing the road.
Review : Hotel Sunrise Villa (Shoghi, HP)
Owned and managed by Mr. & Mrs. Aggarwal, Sunrise Villa is like a home-stay with the owners living on the ground floor of the 2-storey (soon to be 3-storey) structure. The rooms above are simple, basic and clean with attached bathrooms.
Hotel Alasi, Kasauli
Our large double-room was really nice with wood flooring, which we prefer over musty carpets or cold marble.
Ginger Hotel, Nasik
Ginger hotels have a self-service model, which means that there is no bellboy or room service. Luggage carts are provided to lug our own luggage to the rooms.
Lonar MTDC Holiday Resort
Lonar is a small village with basic lodging facilities. The only big hotel close to the crater is MTDC’s Holiday Resort and so we had no option but to pick it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be our worst stay yet !
