Housed in a traditional Ladakhi structure, the Sand Dune Guest House is probably one of the nicest places to stay at in Diskit.

Sumur is a picturesque village in the Nubra Valley with lovely green and yellow fields. It is popular on the tourist circuit for the Samstemling Gompa.

Yarab Tso is a holy lake located near Sumur, a village about 15 kms from Diskit, midway between Panamik and Sumur.

Bactrian camels are large even-toed ungulates native to Central Asian. They are a critically endangered sub species with very few of them left in the wild.

Hunder used to be a busy trade stopover with caravans of Bactrian camels moving in and out.After the closure of the Silk Route.

Hunder is the last stop where tourists are allowed in the Nubra Valley. The road from Diskit to Hunder is along the historic Silk Route.
