Old Diu is known for its Portuguese architecture. Diu Fort was built in 1535 and maintained an active garrison until 1960.

St. Thomas’ Church
Pictures of St. Thomas’ Church, a huge edifice built in 1598, in gothic architectural style. A part of it has been converted into a museum – an archaeological treasure house. Sadly, the museum is in a real bad state.
St. Paul’s Church
Pictures of St. Paul’s Church, located within the Diu Fort, which came under the control of the Portuguese colonists in early sixteenth century.
Chilling in Diu
I must admit that coming to a chilled-out place like Diu is quite refreshing. There’s not much to see here but there’s plenty of atmosphere.
