Aru Valley was as gorgeous as any of the other Kashmiri meadows we had seen so far. There were many young foals and calves prancing around here and we had a fabulous time gaping at them.

They were slipping and sliding, throwing snow balls at each other and just plain thrilled to be there; it was an infectious environment!
