The kababs literally melted in our mouth; they were absolutely fantastic. The mutton biryaniwas quite different from any that we’ve had in the past – not too spicy but extremely flavorful.

En route, we stopped at one of the rest stops, which was surprisingly well-constructed and maintained. There was a chikki store by the famed Maganlal Chikkiwala of Lonavla.

We alighted at Borivali, a north-western suburb of Mumbai and took a regular taxi out to Thane. It cost us Rs.700, which was a lot more than I expected.
