Shree Chhatrapati Shahu Museum
Shree Chhatrapati Shahu Museum, named after the city’s founder, is housed in the new palace building completed in 1881. It was designed by Major Mant and has an unique architectural style which is a fusion of Jain, Hindu (Gujarat & Rajasthan), and the local Rajwada styles.
The ground floor has been converted into a museum, while the upper floors are still used as the Maharaja’s residence.
It has a small enclosure on the outside which has a few Emus and Deers.
Kohlapuri chappals are locally handcrafted footwear made of leather.
