Jaisalmer Fort

Jaisalmer Fort, one of the largest forts in the world, was built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal. It stands amidst the golden stretches of the Thar Desert.

    Amazing photographs, as usual.. took me back into my memories, except that we didnt go inside the palace, since it happened to be closed that day 🙁

    Oh, we did go inside the fort, but some portions like the main palace were closed since someone was visiting. we roamed around the streets and then made up by visiting a haveli outside 🙂

    Really liked the pictures here…the ceiling of the Jain temple is absolutely gorgeous! Its absolutely a dream destination for me…
