Ahmedabad Hotels : Hotel Volga
Hotel Volga was listed in LP as a budget hotel with clean rooms in the center of old Ahmedabad. And that was absolutely true! It’s located right off the chaotic and ever busy Relief road, which is in the heart of the old city. Finding it was a little tricky as it’s tucked within a side alley. We noticed that this area is popular with foreign tourists as most of the budget hotels, listed in LP, are here.
The lobby is impressive for a budget hotel – marble floors, a glass wall and a nice seating area. The rooms are priced extremely well – we got a non-a/c (Weather is cooling down now), double-room with attached bathroom for Rs.623 per night . The room has marble floorings, a comfortable bed with a clean, functioning bathroom – for the price and location, it’s a great stay. Laundry services and room service is also available. And the hotel staff is quite friendly and helpful; they helped us with restaurant recommendations and bus bookings.

Not really .. We started our trip in Gujarat. Hence our bars were quite low. Now I’d rate it as a 6. In fact I shall update the rating on the post.
