Dapoli Hotels
The town of Dapoli sits atop a hill while Kurde Beach is 15kms away, downhill. There are plenty of options to stay near this beach, which include beach-front properties as well as home-stays at the nearby Murud village. We wanted to be as close to the beach as possible so we opted for one of the sea-facing resorts. The only problem with this is that the beach area is a little away from the village. Since we had no means of transport, we had to eat all our meals at the hotel itself, which, thankfully, turned out to be some of the best Konkan meals we’ve had so far !
Sagar Sawali
Sagar Sawali 
does not sound very modern, but the hotel definitely is . It is a year-old property and located at the southern end of the stretch that is lined with resorts facing the sea. All the rooms have sea views with large balconies to sit in and enjoy the landscape. It was large with simple, sleek furniture, great flooring and glass doors leading out to the balcony. The bathroom was also nicely done with good fixtures.
The hotel staff was warm and efficient. Food service was prompt and we were alwayswell-attended to. Their restaurant is
outdoors with seating under a pillared, shaded structure. The food, though, was the true star. It was of very high quality and extremely tasty. We tried their fish curries, fish fry, prawns curry and chicken masala – all of these were YUMMY . My family, which consists of true seafood lovers, would surely consider Sagar Sawali’s restaurant to be a little piece of heaven on earth !
