Gwalior Fort Rock Sculptures

Along the path leading to the Gwalior fort from the Southern side are many Jain rock sculptures.

Cut into the cliff face, these sculptures from the mid-15th century represent the Jain tirthankars.

A lot of the sculptures were defaced by Babar’s army in 1527.
