Halebid Temple (Hoysaleswara Temple)

Halebid, capital of the Hoysala Empire during the 12th century, is home to one of the best examples of Hoysala architecture in the ornate Hoysaleswara temple. Halebid was earlier known as Dwarasamudra, the ‘Gateway to the Sea’.
