Leh Hotels : Hotel Panorama

Located behind Changspa, at the base of Shanti Stupa,is Hotel Panorama. It is a quiet area, away from the noise of Changspa lane. The hotel complex contains 2 structures separated by a nice, leh hotelsgrassy lawn in the center. One is an older building in typical Ladakhi style while the other is quite new with a modern exterior. We stayed in the modern one and were quite pleasantly surprised with its interiors.

Although some work is still on-going, the rooms were all ready for use. Our double-room came with large windows overlooking the Leh’s green countryside and the mountains that frame Shanti Stupa – it was absolutely wonderful! The room, itself, was well-appointed with a comfortable bed, lounge chairs, coffee leh hotelstable and vanity table with a mirror. A large cupboard and shelf near the entryway provided ample storage space as well.
One additional feature was the provision of solar-powered lights, which provided ample light when electricity was missing in the evenings. The attached bathroom was quite nice too – it was spacious with good quality fixtures and tiles. Hot water was available in the mornings.

Each room in the hotel is fitted with heat radiators, which keep the rooms warm during the winters. The hotel is therefore popular place to stay for the Chadar Trek participants who stop by Leh in February when it is freezing! leh hotels

The lawn in front of the hotel is a great place to chill with a book and a cup of chai. Although, they don’t have an operational restaurant yet, there is a kitchen in the older building and it provides room service on demand.

Overall, Hotel Panorama is a great place to stay if you want to be away from the chaos of the stores, restaurants and pedestrian traffic of Changspa and Leh’s market area.
