Mysore Hotels : Peridot Inn

Most hotels within Mysore’s city center sounded either over-priced or old or both. So when we found Hotel Peridot Inn, which seemed to be brand new, listed for a reasonable price, we couldn’t help but book it in advance. Its only drawback is that it’s almost 10kms from city center, which means a 45-minute bus ride to get to there. But the bus service is really good so it was never a problem.

The hotel is located northwest of the city center, close to the Bharat Cancer Hospital and on the way to the large Infosys (software company) campus. There’s nothing much around the hotel except for undeveloped lands and a nearby housing colony from where we caught the bus. A new restaurant serving Kerala food has opened up nearby and is the only eatery within walking distance. However, the hotel’s on-site restaurant serves up some very delicious food and most of our dinners were ordered in from here.

The hotel’s interiors have been nicely built with marble flooring and sleek furniture.Thankfully, for a change, the bathroom was as nicely done up as the rest of the room. Breakfast was included in the room rent and was served in the Flavours restaurant.

Overall, Hotel Peridot Inn was a fantastic stay in the city of Mysore.
