Bissau, one of the 29 Thikanas (Princely States) of Shekhawati, is known for its heritage buildings dating all the way back to the 18th century.

Like the rest of Shekhawati, Bissau has a large collection of havelis known for their frescos depicting mythological and historical themes.

Bissau is also famous for its mute rendition of Ramleela, a play based on the Ramayan, which lasts for 15 days in the month of October.
Bissau Fort
Keshari Singh, son of Shardul Singh of Jhunjhunu, constructed the fort in 1812.
