Tirthan River

Tirthan River, a tributary of the Beas River, originates from the base of the main Himalayan range in Himachal Pradesh.

It flows in the south-west direction and merges with the Beas River at Larji before cutting across the Dhauladhar Range.

Mr. Raju Bharti has been fighting against setting up of hydro electric plants along the Tirthan. So far he has been able to keep them at bay. We hope that it remains that way.
