Stallions live either solitarily, or in small groups of twos and threes while family herds remain large.

The mating season is during the monsoons and the mare gives birth to only one foal.

The male foals wean away after a couple of years, while the female foals continue to stay with the family herd.

Yeah, the sunset was so beautiful except that towards the end clouds rolled and messed up the visibility.

It’s about 120 kms from Ahmedabad. It’d make more sense to fly to Abad and then hire a cab (Desert Coursers can provide pickups as well). No point in taking your car there since you can’t drive on your own through the sanctuary.
