Tanjore Hotels : Chendhoor Residency
Chendhoor Residency is one of the newer Tanjore Hotels (opened in September, 2010) that we stumbled upon while the taxi guy took us around Thiruchy looking for a decent place to stay. It’s a small hotel located very conveniently within walking distance of the railway and bus stations. We were able to catch buses to the various attractions around town from right outside the.
The entire hotel has been built quite nicely with marble 
tiled flooring and dark-wood accents. Our large double-room too had a similar design scheme with lovely, white and cream furnishings. A wall-mounted LCD TV provided entertainment while a large armoire provided ample storage. The bathroom was a tad small but functional.
Room service was available from the hotel’s on-site restaurant and it was quite good. Breakfast was included in the cost of stay and this included the usual South Indian fare accompanied with tea or coffee. We had dinner here one night and I totally enjoyed a Chettinad Chicken dish, which had been prepared quite well!
The staff at the hotel and the restaurant was quite professional and well-mannered too. Overall, this was a very comfortable stay and a highly recommended one in Thiruchy!
