The Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad was established in 1960 with the objective of conducting art exhibitions at state and national levels. Recently an art school, Chitrakala Vidyalaya, has been established on the same campus. The galleries within the Parishad are host to excellent permanent and temporary collections.
