Sani

Sani, 6 kms NW of Padum, is where the Stod Valley broadens into the central plain of Zanskar. The Sani Gompa belongs to the Drukpa Kargyu school of Tibetan Buddhism, and is the only one of this order in Zanskar which has nuns.

    Interesting pics… J&K is heaven for visitors… I like the backdrop of snowy mountains and sunshine lightening them look more beautiful.

      Thanks a lot, Magic Eye.
      It was a beautiful Gompa. Unfortunately it was closed when we got there. Hence we were unable to take a peek inside the Gompa.
